First post!!

My first experience with a blog!! So please be patient because my knowledge of blogs is very limited :) I set this one up as an assignment in my management communications class, so we'll see how it turns out!!
I've seen some blogs before, and I've noticed that all cute blogs have a cute title! So I was mulling through my very uncreative mind, trying to think of an idea, when I thought of... well, nothing! This may be a little embarrassing, but I'll admit that thinking of a title actually took me a couple days (of course I didn't sit for days and think of a title, I had other stuff to do :) ).
So a little overview of me- I am currently a student at Brigham Young University, and my declared major right now is accounting. I just applied for the nationally ranked accounting program at BYU a couple days ago, so hopefully it turns out alright and I can keep my declared major the same! Wish me luck :) I am also a cheerleader at the university, which comes with its ups and downs. Overall, I absolutely love it and the opportunities that come with it- meeting new people, having unreal spiritual and service experiences, and of course being right next to the action at all the sporting events! I am going on my third year on the squad, and am looking forward to the new experiences I have coming up.
Of course my life is hard at times, but everyone is fighting a hard battle and has struggles during their life. The times that make life worth it are the beautiful times- laughing with friends, learning new things, having a first kiss, being with your loved ones, or even just eating ice cream on a warm day! This thought inspired the title to my blog- "La Vie est Belle". Translated, it means "Life is Beautiful"... but things just sound so much better in French, right? :)
So in the process of writing this blog, I am going to try to focus on the things that make life beautiful. I am going to try to help anyone reading remember that the happy times far outweigh the bad times- and if you focus on these things, you will be happy too.
La vie est belle. :)
